UNC-TV Airs David Holt’s State of Music Season 4
Hosted by four-time Grammy winner David Holt, the season will run on consecutive Thursday evenings through May 7. Episodes featuring the following performers are scheduled as follows:
- Innovative bluegrass powerhouse Della Mae in Episode 1 airs at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 2.
- Award-winning bluegrass duo Darin and Brooke Aldridge with New Grass Revival’s John Cowan in Episode 2 airs at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 9.
- Blues legend Taj Mahal visits with David in Episode 3 airing at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 16.
- Phenomenal young performers Presley Barker, Cane Mill Road band and the Burnett Sisters with Willow Dillon Keasler in Episode 4 air at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 23.
- Josh Goforth and Zeb Holt play with host David in a look back at David’s 50-year career in folk music in Episodes 5 and 6, airing at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 and Thursday, May 7.
Filmed entirely on location in North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and South Carolina, David Holt's State of Music premiered on North Carolina Public Television (UNC-TV) in 2015. The series is now is carried in nearly 90 percent of PBS markets in the United States. Season 4 is presented by Nashville Public Television (NPT).
