The festival is a tribute to Ola Belle Reed, a legendary figure in folk and bluegrass music. The event will feature competitions for both youth and adults to perform songs in the style of Ola Belle Reed. The songs may be from her catalog or original songs in her style. Following the competitions will be performances by Zoe & Cloyd and The Sheets Family Band, plan on staying into the evening to enjoy a night of square dancing on the banks of Big Horse Creek! We are looking for competitors in both the Youth and Adult categories to perform songs in the style of Ola Belle Reed. The songs may be from the Ola Belle Reed catalog (with the exception of standards, such as “High on a Mountain” and “I’ve Endured”) or may be original songs in the Ola Belle style. Online registrations commence on July 1, 2024. No registration fee is required. The organizing committee is seeking sponsors and volunteers for the festival.
