October 19, 2024 – Downtown Wilkesboro, NC commons – 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Western NC was absolutely devastated by hurricane Helene. Alex Key (a chart topping country singer and Western NC native) wanted to do something quick to provide monetary aid to his home and community, so he has partnered with downtown Wilkesboro, NC and Musicians Mission of Mercy to bring you Appalachian Aid Music Festival on October 19th, 2024. The event will take place in the Downtown Wilkesboro, NC commons from 11am – 10pm. The lineup is constantly being added to and already includes Alex Key, John Paycheck (son of Johnny Paycheck) Wayne Henderson and friends, The Contenders (Jay Nash & Josh Day) Taylon Hope, Matt Bizzell, Holy Water, BRB and we can’t wait to share the additions as they come! Food trucks will be on site! Tickets will be $20 and are on sale at the included link or they will be available at the gate and 100% of sales will go to helping those in need and affected by Helene. We also want to offer service members (police/EMS/firefighters/doctors/nurses/first responders/linemen/corporate tree removers) WITH ID free entry WITH the understanding that you please donate to the cause upon entry.
Key stressed, “BRING CHAIRS! We are planning on having a tractor/trailer on location to collect donations (canned goods, cold-weather clothing, baby supplies, medications, non-perishables, water, etc.) to send to the mountains. Please make plans to come support this event.”
The money will be distributed through Musicians Mission of Mercy (a 501(c)(3) non profit Christian Aid Organization.) we look forward to seeing you there!
