More info about the FIND Outdoors Hurricane Helene Relief Fund:

FIND is a 51-year-old 501(c)(3) tax deductible nonprofit based in Pisgah Forest, NC serving over one million visitors annually in three states: North Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky. As a leading provider of public land access in the Southeast, FIND Outdoors strives to make nature accessible to all by stewarding cherished recreation sites, campgrounds, and visitor centers, and by offering interpretive and educational opportunities for all ages and abilities.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, our cherished public lands have faced significant challenges. Your support is crucial in helping us restore and reopen these vital spaces. Here’s how your donation can make a profound impact:

  • Repair and Restoration of Public Lands: Your contribution will directly fund the rebuilding of bridges and boardwalks damaged by flooding, rerouting heavily eroded trails, and clearing debris from our beautiful outdoor areas. These spaces are not just paths and parks; they are the backdrop for family memories, adventures, connections to nature and and economic drivers for many communities in the region.
  • Education on Emergency Preparedness: We’re committed to empowering our communities with the knowledge and resources to prepare for future emergencies, ensuring everyone can enjoy the great outdoors safely.
  • Support for Displaced Employees: Many people who care for public lands have been affected by the storm. Your generosity will help provide them with vital support during this challenging time.

FIND sites located in Pisgah and neighboring forests including Carolina Hemlocks Recreation Area, Black Mountain Campground and Briar Bottom Group Site, have been hosting families for generations and it is our mission to make it possible for families to continue the tradition for years to come.
