Friends! Join us on the front porch of the Smith-McDowell House for an open old-time jam on Saturday, July 22, from 1:00-3:00. This jam is open to all skill levels and instruments typically found at old-time jams (fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, lap dulcimer, autoharp, harmonica, hammered dulcimer, cello, and ukulele among others). Dancers are welcome too. Come play, dance, or just listen. As you head this way for the old-time jam, bring along your lunch and join us on the lawn for a picnic. We will have drinks and snacks for $1 and a jam featuring great southern mountain music on the porch. Bring your blankets, food, friends, and family for a Father's Day Weekend treat. There will be no admission fee for the Museum that afternoon. Y'all come!
