The Earl Scruggs Center is excited to announce a benefit concert on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. This show will be held at Crest High School’s Auditorium, followed by an Encore After Party at the Earl Scruggs Center.
Saturday, February 15 – The Del McCoury Band with Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Headlining the evening will be the legendary The Del McCoury Band, one of the most revered acts in bluegrass music. Joining them as the supporting act is the acclaimed duo Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, promising an unforgettable night of exceptional musicianship and heartfelt performances.
Del McCoury’s journey from his roots in York County, Pennsylvania, to becoming a Grammy winner and International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame inductee began with inspiration from Earl Scruggs himself. As a member of Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys in the 1960s, Del honed his craft, becoming a torchbearer for bluegrass music and a treasured figure in the genre.
Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, known for their dynamic stage presence and virtuosic playing, bring a fresh energy to the evening. Rob, a 15-time IBMA Dobro Player of the Year, and Trey, a masterful guitarist and vocalist, have captivated audiences worldwide with their seamless blend of bluegrass, blues, and country influences.
