Saturday, April 15 – Tribute to Fiddlin’ Red Wilson – 7:00 pm
April 15th is officially designated as “Red Wilson” Day in Mitchell County. This Tribute to Fiddlin’ Red Wilson will be an effort to honor and remember a musician who made a profound impact on the music of Western North Carolina. The tribute will feature discussion of his recording studio called Mayland Records, which he helped many local musicians and groups produce recording music to sell. Additionally, videoclips and memorabilia will be on display. The concert will feature Rhonda Gouge, Bruce Greene, Kathy Kuhne, Rob Levin, Sam McKinney, William Ritter, and Nathan Stewart, who will all celebrating Red’s legacy through their music.
Tickets are on sale now! General admission: $10 for adults and children over 12. Children under age 12 are free. Tickets are available for purchase online and at locations in Mitchell and Avery Counties. Tickets will also be available at the door.
