The Mission of the Ashe County Parks and recreation is to provide a a range of quality wellness programs that enrich the quality of life or all citizens and visitors. The department will strive to design programs that create tourism and promote long-term economic stability and growth for the community

Ashe County Parks & Recreation does not allow the use of tobacco products on County-owned parkland, park facilities, open space or property except in the confines of a vehicle in designated parking areas. No domestic animals are allowed on the ACPR property at sporting events and/or special functions. Domestic animals will continue to be allowed at Ashe Park on a leash. The only exceptions made will be for visitors with disabilities who require the use of service animals to assist them.
