The Wilkes County Courthouse, built in 1902, now houses the Wilkes Heritage Museum and the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame. Developed to preserve and celebrate the musical heritage of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Hall of Fame interprets the history of the musical forms that are traditional to the region and highlight many of the outstanding artists who have performed that music.
