David Holt’s State of Music Season 2 Airs on UNC-TV
Season 2 of David Holt’s State of Music premieres on UNC-TV’s main channel Thursday, June 15th, 2017 at 9:30 pm and will air in that time slot for seven weeks.
Four-time Grammy winner David Holt has spent his life learning and performing traditional American music. In David Holt’s State of Music he shares tunes and stories with modern masters of this historic music that has a growing legion of contemporary fans.
Season 2 of David Holt's State of Music showcases top acoustic performers of traditional music filmed on location in the Southern mountains. Musical styles include traditional ballad singing, blues, old-time string band, African-American gospel, bluegrass, three-fingered banjo, slide guitar, mandolin, fiddle, bass, mouth bow and even stump fiddle.

David Holt's State of Music is produced by the Will & Deni McIntyre Foundation and presented by UNC Center for Public TV. The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area Partnership provided a grant to support the broadcast of the program.
