Enjoy a Play and Support the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area
Through the generous donation of tickets by Charlotte Street Computers, the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area Partnership is offering tickets to the Thursday, April 17th, 7:30 pm performance of the hilarious comedy, Dearly Departed, at the Asheville Community Theater, with all proceeds going to support the work of the Heritage Area.
In the backwoods of the Bible Belt, the beleaguered Turpin family proves that living and dying in the South are seldom tidy and always hilarious. Despite their earnest efforts to pull themselves together for their father’s funeral, the Turpin’s other problems keep overshadowing the solemn occasion.
Amidst the chaos, the Turpins turn for comfort to their friends and neighbors, an eccentric community of misfits who just manage to pull together and help each other through their hours of need, and finally, the funeral.
Tickets are $15 for the Thursday, April 17th, 7:30 pm performance, and can be purchased from the Heritage Area by calling Jan Pamfilis, 828-298-5330, ext. 301, or Beth Coleman, ext. 312.
Mastercard and Visa, checks and cash are accepted. Please make checks payable to BRNHA and mail to Jan at 195 Hemphill Knob Road, Asheville, NC 28803. Tickets will be mailed, or you can pick them up at our Information Desk at the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center, near Milepost 384 on the Parkway in Asheville.
