Meet Arvil Freeman – 2018 N.C. Heritage Award Recipient

Fiddler Arvil Freeman of Buncombe County has performed and passed on his traditions for over fifty years and is known for his smooth and melodic long-bow style. On May 23rd, 2018, Arvil will receive the 2018 North Carolina Heritage Award, along with five other musicians and artists from across the state.
